15-Day Wildlife Adventure Trip to the Pearl of Africa
The safari starts in Entebbe taking you on a joyous marathon of western and southwestern Uganda completing the circle in Entebbe. The safari party heads west on the Great North Road. The first stopover is at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and then to Murchison Falls National Park, searching for lions, and leopards. Go to Kibale for chimps and birding, Queen Elizabeth for its splendor, Bwindi for gorilla trekking, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo will be also exciting. The safari ends in Jinja.

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our Ngoni Safaris driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala and prepare for the following day's activity at Murchison Falls National Park. While here you will enjoy the views of Lake Victoria.

After breakfast, you will set off for the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. You will be there around lunchtime. When you have finished your lunch, it is time to experience the top of the falls. It is an amazing feeling to stand there enjoying the view and hearing the water roar. You will have a relaxed evening at the lodge.

You will get up early in the morning to meet the animals of the savanna. During this morning's game drive, you can see giraffes, elephants, lions, and more. In the afternoon, it is time for a boat cruise on the mighty Nile spotting to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds on the shores. You will spend the night in Budongo Forest ( part of Murchison Falls) to get close to the jungle.

Be prepared for a long day in the car made easier by making a stop in a village to stretch your legs, taking a look at a tea plantation, and studying the Ugandan countryside passing by the window. Here you can have a stop over at Fort Portal Town the first cleanest town in Uganda. Later you will continue to Kibale National Park and experience Bigodi swamp walk late afternoon.

You will be woken up by the sounds of the jungle and get ready for your chimp trekking experience. Your guide will take you to the starting point and you will set off into the beautiful jungle to see the chimpanzees. After the chimps trekking, your guide will meet you and take you to the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will wake up early in the morning for a game drive in the Kasenyi part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here you have the chance to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, an abundance of birds, and more. After lunch, your guide will take you on the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This two-hour boat ride is a great highlight where you for example can look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and warthogs along the shores of the channel.

You will enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable.

You will have breakfast and head for a morning game drive in Ishasha to find topis, and buffaloes and search for the tree-climbing lions. The lions in this area are famous for climbing up great fig trees to take a rest. After finishing your game drive the journey goes on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will enjoy the changing landscape as the car slowly climbs up towards the misty mountains of the gorillas.

You have now reached a highlight of this Discover Uganda safari; the gorilla trekking day. Your guide will take you to the starting point of the gorilla trekking in the morning and you will set off for your adventure. The trek takes you through the jungle up to the point where the gorillas are and you get to spend one hour with them. When you are back from the gorilla trekking, your guide will take you to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

After breakfast, you will be taken for golden monkey tracking at Mgahinga National Park. Later after tracking, you will start your journey to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale District. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day. You will have an exciting boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. In the afternoon, you may have optional activities; a canoe boat ride, a swim in the Bilharzia free lake, you may also explore a nearby village. Residents are happy about your visit and are open to explaining their daily lives.
